Youth Service, Inc. (YSI) is a non-profit organization that has provided immediate shelter and support services to Philadelphia’s children and families for nearly 60 years. We offer unique programs and niche services in locations across the city. Youth Service, Inc. operates the only Crisis Nursery Programs in Philadelphia and runs the largest teen shelter in the area for homeless and runaway youth. Through shelter, counseling and in-home support services, Youth Service, Inc. reaches 5,000 children and adults annually, ninety-two percent of whom live below the poverty level.

YSI is a member of the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Child Welfare League of America and the PA Council of Children, Youth and Family Services. YSI is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Services for Families and Children, Inc.
